NEW HOMOLOGATION 2023

Piston Port engine 60 cc single-cynlinder, 2 transfers, CIK-FIA New homologated for the Minikart class (2023)

This is a new design compared to the past, featuring a newly developed head, cylinder and crankcase with increased radiating surfaces. As far as the cylinder is concerned, the geometries of the exhaust and transfer ports have been renewed, while from a manufacturing point of view, as for the VTS and VTJ models, the VTM also benefits from an additional machining process, the paired crankcase boring, which improves quality, reliability and performance.

KZ / Shifter Engines

RSZ

VTZ

NEW HOMOLOGATION 2023

The VTZ engine, dedicated to the KZ and KZ2 classes, comes from the winning RTZ, world champion in 2021 and vice world champion in 2022. The most obvious technical evolution made concerns the cooling of the engine crankcase, previously air-cooled, now water-cooled. But that's not all, because even the muffler, specific to this model, has now a new design. Unchanged, however, compared to the RTZ model, is the length of the connecting rod (115 mm).

RSZ

RSZ / RTZ

Vortex is presenting two types of engines for the KZ class, RSZ and RTZ, both direct descendants of the formidable RKZ model, the CIK-FIA World Champion engine, and both designed strictly following the cornerstones that distinguish Vortex production: production quality, refined workmanship and innovation Both have a crankcase that has been highly evolved and is CNC machined, thus achieving ever higher quality standards.

Among the main innovations of the RSZ is the 110mm connecting rod, now shorter than the model RTZ with 115mm. Such solution features a torque curve able to ease the driver to race on short to mean length tracks, while the 115 mm connecting rod of the RTZ model fits perfectly on longer distances

The engines are completed by a new head, dismountable into two pieces, born from the incredible work that already led to the 2018 World Championship victory. Both new models will be equipped with an expressly designed muffler.

Shifter Rok

Shifter ROK

The Rok Shifter was born to meet the needs of many drivers who want to compete in a category with the gearbox, but always according to the Rok philosophy: low costs and steady regulations over the time.

The engine has the following features: single-cylinder 2 stroke engine with 6-speed gearbox with front clutch system, displacement 125 cc, 4 reed valve intake in the crankcase. Liquid-cooled through external pump (not supplied in the kit).

The engine comes in a complete kit with Dell’Orto VHSH Ø 30 mm carburettor, Dell’Orto fuel pump, Arrow in- take silencer, moulded exhaust and exhaust silencer. Ready for a power of 43 HP, the Rok Shifter is the engine that provides the best combination of performance and operating costs.

VTJ / VTS

NEW HOMOLOGATION 2023

On the occasion of the CIK-FIA homologation session, the Vortex engine range is completely renewed.
For the OK and OKJ categories respectively, the VTS and VTJ models make their debut, as the direct successors of the Vortex DTS and DTJ, able of winning no less than five world titles - three in Junior, two in Senior - in the last four years.
Among the various innovations introduced, an unprecedented production process stands out: the paired crankcase boring. This further processing stage of the engine crankcase makes it possible to achieve a higher final quality level of the product, with positive effects both in terms of quality and repeatability of the various models produced as well as in terms of performance. The VTS also sees the introduction of a new exhaust valve design, a solution that ensures greater efficiency at low revs and improved engine performance.
The main featured inherited from the previous versions of both engines remain unchanged: lightness, assembly and use easiness, effective arrangement of mass and centre of gravity, compact dimensions and reliability.

The engines will also be equipped with homologated components, fixed by tha current international regulations: 20mm carburator (24 mm VTS) and limiter 14 / 16 000 RPM ((VTJ / VTS)

VTS -N

NEW HOMOLOGATION 2023

The newborn VTS-N unit, designed for the new OK-N category conceived by the FIA Karting for national championships starting from 2023, has the same shape as the VTS model, but lacks - as per regulations - the exhaust valve and has a rev limiter set at 15,000 rpm. As for the OKJ-N category, the same engine can be used, however, by applying a special exhaust restrictor

DJT /DST

DJT/ DST

The models DJT (Junior) and DST ( Senior) have been created for the most binding National and International challenges and belongs to the second generation of engines intended for the OK category. This project involved the technical division of Vortex towards the achievement of three important targets: lightness, reduced dimensions, lowering of the center of gravity and a refined research in materials and in the weight and cargo distribution. To obtain these results, the crankcase has been redesigned together with fundamental components such as, crankshaft, balance shaft and connecting rod. It is also equipped with a light, stiff and compact crankcase, machined by CNC. The results allowed reach an important upgrade in performances, combined with a particularly reduced weight and an even lower center of gravity. The engines will also be equipped with homologated components, fixed by the current international regulation: 20mm carburettor (24mm DST), exhaust and ignition system limited to 14,000 RPM (16.000 DST)

Shifter Rok

ROK GP / GP Junior

Rok GP immediately conquered the hearts of drivers around the world, for his spirited soul and a practical structure, which aims to achieve high performance, while ensuring high reliability.

The engine has the following features: single-cylinder 2 stroke engine, displacement 125cc, reed valve intake in the crankcase. Liquid-cooled through external pump, equipped with centrifugal dry-clutch and integrated electrical starter. It is also equipped with a balancer shaft that reduces vibrations and power valve that improves performance and driveability at low rpm.

The engine comes in a complete kit with Dell’Orto VHSH Ø 30mm carburettor, Dell’Orto fuel pump, Arrow intake silencer, moulded exhaust and exhaust with integrated exhaust silencer and wire loom. True to the philosophy that favours ease of use and management, Rok Gp engine is aimed at all drivers who want to test themselves on a spirited and performing chassis.
